New IRM "ISOPRO" chassis: designed to last

This new IRM 2008 chassis is based on residential standards, and gives uniform rigidity and better stability.

Result: an even more comfortable interior and a more robust Holiday home due to the galvanized steel chassis and closely spaced wood joists at 45 cm distance.

A Holiday home is not placed directly on the ground, unlike a house or a chalet. Large air drafts under the Holiday home are the main source of heat losses and the feeling of cold. IRM has designed the new 64 mm "ISOTHERM" floor to reduce this cold source and to make the interior more comfortable.

The 64 cm thick floor includes REINFORCED THERMAL INSULATION (40 mm of mineral wool) as standard. This new super insulating floor is fitted standard on all 2008 models in this catalogue.

ROOF INSULATION

- STANDARD Range 50 mm of mineral wool (optional extra insulation option).
- Comfort, Extra Comfort and Prestige ranges: extra insulation provided as standard (120 mm of mineral wool).

Glazed surfaces are much appreciated for the light they allow to enter, but unfortunately they allow the sun's heat to enter in the summer and are the source of heat losses in the winter. IRM offers the best solution on the market, by fitting low emissivity double glazing on all models as standard.

-30% heat losses in winter.
+50% protection against heat in the summer.

INSULATION OUTSIDE WALLS

The thick (5 cm) outside walls are insulated with :
- STANDARD Range : polystyrene insulating board + air gap (optional extra insulation).
- Comfort, Extra Comfort and Prestige ranges: extra insulation as standard, polystyrene insulating board + air gap + aluminium faced reflecting film (limits heat losses from the electric convector in winter, and reflects radiation from the sun outwards in the summer).

ELECTRIC CONVECTORS

- STANDARD Range : one convector in the lounge (optional additional convectors in the bedrooms and shower rooms)
- Comfort, Extra Comfort and Prestige ranges : electrical convector in all rooms as standard.

THICK OUTSIDE WALLS

IRM Holiday home walls are 5 cm thick. Mesh type frame with horizontal and vertical Northern Pine battens. This structure absorbs stresses and distortions without cracking.

IRM's choice and the selection of suppliers is essential. Priority is given to French made products to give an assurance of manufacturing quality, reliability and long life.
