When you buy a Holiday home from an IRM dealer, the dealer will sign a sales contract with you setting down the general conditions of sale and the guarantee.
Only the guarantee conditions will be applicable to your Holiday home. The dealer with whom you signed your contract will be your sole contact for any After Sales problem. He will be responsible for examining your After Sales request, perform an expertise on the nature and cause of your problem, order any required spare parts (dealers often have a permanent stock), and repair your Holiday home.
The guarantee on your Holiday home is usually one year.
We recommend that you should check througly your Holiday home with your dealer as soon as it has been received and stabilised
As mentioned in the User's guide for your Holiday home, remember that
| 1) |
Stabilisation is an essential point and special care must be taken with it. Poor stabilisation nonconforming with our recommendations or that is not perfectly horizontal can cause problems with closing of doors or windows, and these problems will not be covered by the guarantee. |
| 2) |
The vertical frame parts of the entrance door and windows are fitted with 2cm x 2cm black plastic packing pieces during transport, that must be removed and discarded. Leaving these packing pieces in place would cause problems with opening and closing that would not be covered by the guarantee. |
| 3) |
Transport constraints could modify the adjustment of the entrance door. The door hinges can be modified to readjust it as reqired (see User's Guide Chapter VII). |
| 4) |
Transport constraints could modify the adjustment of the kitchen or bedroom doors. The door hinges can be modified to readjust it as required (see User's Guide Chapter VII). |
| 5) |
Household appliances and the water heater are delivered with the User's guide issued by their manufacturer. Please refer to it for information about how to use the appliances properly and if there are any malfunctions. |
| 6) |
Minor esthetic defects are not included in the guarantee. |
| 7) |
Any defect caused by incorrect use (for example a scratch on the floor when unpacking, obstruction of the ventilations, cleaning of fabrics other than by dry cleaning, etc.) are not included in the guarantee. |
| 8) |
The guarantee is ineffective in the following cases:
Normal wear due to use
Intensive use of the Holiday home as a main residence
Bad maintenance of the Holiday home
Unnecessary manipulations of parts or original installations |
| 9) |
It is essential to respect instructions in the User's Guide, particularly concerning wintering (residence unoccupied) and safety measures. |
| 10) |
The only effect of repairs made under the guarantee is to extend this guarantee. |
| 11) |
IRM's guarantee is limited to the replacement or repair of the part or parts recognised as being defective and the labour costs necessary for this operation. The manufacturer's guarantee is exclusively limited to the guarantee as defined above. IRM-SA is not responsible for direct or indirect injury to persons or damage caused to objects, even if they are caused by a defect or vice in the sold equipment. |
