Ecological design

Priority to stapling

Stapling minimizes the use of non-ecological products and facilitates recycling of
holiday homes at the end of their life.

Use of VOC-free aqueous glues

The lack of VOC (volatile organic components) minimizes risks for the users and
the environment.

Wood house type construction

The lack of glued "sandwich" materials enables more than 95% recycling of the
structure.=

CTB+ certified wood treatment

IRM holiday homes are designed to respect the environment and to be economic. This includes selection of materials, construction techniques and equipment. These choices will help you to optimize the cost effectiveness of your investment and to provide specific solutions in terms of ecology. IRM solutions concern insulation, management of water, energy, household appliances, manufacturing techniques, safety and health.

Economic in electricity

IRM standard equipment includes:
- fridge-freezers made by a major manufacturer, with low electricity consumption
(energy class A - the lowest)
- 40 watt electrical light bulbs (optional energy saving bulbs)
- Extra thermal insulation on the floor (40 mm rock wool *) and low emissivity
double glazing on all doors and windows: limits heat losses and electrical
consumption of the convector.

Economic in water

IRM standard equipment includes:
- A dual-flush toilet
- Mixer taps for the kitchen and bathroom with built-in flow reducer
- A shower head with built in flow-reducer.

Economic in gas

IRM models for rental * are provided with a 14 kW atmospheric water heater (20% less powerful than a 17 kW suction water heater = economic in gas).
