THE COST OF INSTALLATION ON THE PITCH (BLOCKING, CONNECTING WATER AND ELECTRICITY, CRANING IF NECESSARY)

Installing a mobile home

Installing a mobile home on a campsite involves :

  • pulling the mobile home from where it was unloaded to the pitch with a tractor or 4WD
  • levelling and blocking the chassis on 10 or 12 points
  • installing under the chassis a waste water system<
  • connecting the mobile home to the main sewer
  • to connect your mobile home to the site’s electric meter
  • connecting the mobile home to the main power system connecting the mobile home to the gas bottle or main gas system

Where the plot of land has already been made viable (i.e. the water, gas and electricity supply networks have already been installed on the plot), the cost of the installation will vary from €500 to €2,000 depending on accessibility and the layout of the land (trees, slope, soil type, etc.) and depending on the landscaping (lawn, integrated irrigation, etc.). If the plot has not been made viable or if difficult access requires the use of a crane (a mobile home weighs between 4 and 6 tons), the cost can mount up quickly. Get information from a point of sale.

Average cost : from 500 to €2,,000

THE ANNUAL RENT OF THE CAMPSITE PITCH

cost location mobile home

The rent can vary from 2,000 to 5,000 € depending on the size and location of the pitch, and also on the campsite itself (facilities, location, classification, etc). A pitch on the seafront with organized entertainment, a water park and restaurant will naturally be more expensive than an isolated plot of land with no facilities. If you have not yet decided on a specific campsite, visit several of them and compare their rent and services. A lease for a pitch signed with the owner of a campsite will generally be for one year, renewed automatically. - It will give you a breakdown of the amount of rent, the opening dates of the campsite and the specific charges and obligations on both parties. Read it carefully as, along with the campsite’s rules by which you will be bound, it will govern your relationship with the owner of the campsite for years to come.

verage cost : from €2,000 to €5,000

OTHER COSTS

These include costs dependant on the campsite or the pitch such as connection to services, administration costs, campsite entrance fees.

Average cost : 0 to €5,000

THE INSURANCE OF THE MOBILE HOME (UNLESS PRICE IS ALL INCLUSIVE)

Subscribing an insurance policy for your mobile home is compulsory. Your insurance company can propose either a caravan insurance policy (road transport not inclusive) or a home insurance policy. You should make sure the usual damages are covered : fire, weather damage, theft, electrical and water damages, window breakage, etc.

We advise you to ask for the price of a “turnkey package” at your point of sale, meaning delivered, installed, stabilized and connected on the campsite pitch you have chosen. That way you’ll know exactly what your total budget is and you can avoid any unpleasant surprises. For a new IRM mobile home, expect a total all-inclusive price of between €25,000 and €60,000 including tax. Most IRM dealers can offer you tailor-made financing solutions. Don’t hesitate to ask them.
